Nseleni Power Corporation is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established with the specific objective of partnering with Government to address the critical power deficiency besetting South Africa and hindering economic growth and job creation in the country.

It has as a fundamental design objective, the ability to rapidly respond to fluctuating energy demand and in assisting National Control in the management of grid frequency and thus balanced power on the grid.

Nseleni Power Corporation, under the leadership of its CEO designate, Mr Gumede, will embark on a recruitment and training drive over the forthcoming 4 years in order to ensure that at commissioning sufficient, suitably qualified engineers and technicians are ready to undertake the management and control of the most sophisticated power station in Africa.

Coupled to this, will be the development of long-term training objectives, to meet the needs of an ever-expanding gas to power industry as Eskom transitions away from coal to cleaner burning fossil fuels such as LNG.

Social responsibility and education form a core value within the management and corporate philosophy of Nseleni and thus the engagement with local agencies and groups will form a significant part of management responsibility.

The identification of core needs and deficiencies within local government service delivery agencies and emergency services will be a key priority of management moving forward.
